What really irks me is that the Wii U will continue to be considered a dismal failure just because it doesn’t have a ton of blockbuster titles, yet the PS4 and Xbox One will thrive even though they’ll barely have any games at all, big name or otherwise. Those two consoles are basically “look how many different kinds of media we can cram into one system” without actually focusing on games, yet Nintendo always puts software first and foremost and always seems to get a bad rap. Why do I need to buy a game console to watch TV? Why do I need it to use the internet? I have devices that do this already. Give me games. And I mean real games, not movies where I just have to hit some buttons for a quicktime event every once in a while. The Xbox presentation was absolutely pathetic, and my twitter feed was overwhelmingly negative in response. But there are people out there who eat that stuff up I guess. Go figure.
